The Paceline Bicycles Cycling Team is a group of dedicated cyclists of all ages interested in promoting the sport of cycling. Team members interested in racing are encouraged to enter at least five races per year, mountain, road, and/or cyclocross. Team members who don't race are encouraged to participate in at least three epic rides per year, e.g. Tour de Tanglewood, Three Mountain Metric, Ride for Autism, Spokes for Strokes, Tour de Gaps, Ride Around Wilkes, Assault on Mt Mitchell, et al. Members are encouraged to do training rides with the team and to assist in at least three volunteer efforts, e.g. trail building, leading rides, bike rodeos, et al.
Junior Team members, in addition to the above, have the opportunity for weekly guidance on training schedules. We offer race day management at all "club calendar" races held in the summer months, including help with registration, travel, warm-ups/cool-downs, coaching during events, and pre-race tune ups. During the summer months we also plan to offer Junior specific training sessions when school is in recess.
